HOTARUBI SYSTEMS

FACILITY & ENERGY / READING SERIES

Every decision here follows a reading taken somewhere.

Hotarubi Systems studies how lighting, air conditioning, ventilation, refrigeration, and hot water actually draw power across the hours of a building's day — then puts the findings in front of the people who run it.

01 / WHAT WE DO

Readings before recommendations

We work from the utility records and sub-meter data a building already produces. Before anything is proposed, we establish where consumption occurs, which system accounts for it, and how much of it happens outside occupied hours — a pattern that shows up in most buildings we look at, and one that is usually the first thing worth addressing.

02 / HOW WE READ A BUILDING

Three instruments, one report

Pattern reading

Consumption is mapped by system and by hour band, so out-of-hours draw is visible rather than buried in a monthly total.

Early warning

Operating data from air conditioning and ventilation equipment is watched for the gradual drift that tends to come before a fault.

Schedule review

Control schedules are checked against how the building is actually occupied today, not how it was occupied when the schedule was written.

A comfort note

Anything that touches occupant comfort is written up for discussion. Nothing that affects how a space feels is changed on our own authority.

03 / PROCESS

From records to a written report

STEP 1

Records gathered

Existing utility data and available sub-meter readings are collected — no new equipment required to begin.

STEP 2

Systems mapped

Consumption is attributed to lighting, HVAC, ventilation, refrigeration, and hot water by hour band.

STEP 3

Findings reviewed

Adjustments are drafted with their expected effect and uncertainty stated plainly.

STEP 4

Report delivered

A written report and a list of adjustments worth examining are handed over for your team to weigh.

06 / GET IN TOUCH

A short conversation is usually enough to start

Send a note about your building and what you'd like to understand better. We'll reply with what data would help and roughly what scope would suit it.
